Re: My Daily driver - 05 Civic
nice car btw! waiting for pics on the painted calipers.. i was thinking of doing it to mine but then i thought that it'll just look too weird with only the front ones painted a different color.
Re: My Daily driver - 05 Civic
Car will be getting fog lights very soon, I only have front calipers but i painted them red and just painted my drums with black trem clad after using some rust converter and they look fine. For now i have one bad quality night pic, ill post a better one up tomorrow if its sunny this is the only pic i got now
Re: My Daily driver - 05 Civic
Thanks guys. Tried taking out my tail lights to spray tint them but it seems like its going to be a hard job .. theres something up underneath of them that i dont want to break off, someone know how to remove these or would it be easier just to use my painters tape and some random things and tape off everything on the back of the car and spray it like that? I was waiting for the spray tint to be done before i took some pics

Personally, I have an AEM SRI I got used from a guy locally. But most of the guys say that all intakes are basically the same on our civics and the only thing that matters is to put a quality filter on the end. They recommend the AEM Dryflow filter (Thats what I got right now) because it's supposedly one of the best.

P.S. Read the imprint on the filter element on the aem dryflo(mine says k&n)

Whats a good exhaust? I liked the sound of the apexi n1 or whatever it was, how much does one of those go for? Also, bottomed it out on a rough road and now it has a random exhaust leak, must have hit the reasonator or whatever is up the middle of the car, probably going to cut it off sometime. Going to get to spray tinting the tails and park lights eventuly give me time, getting new tires too.

HKS Hi-Power and Apexi are the best sounding 7th gen exhausts imo.

Re: My Daily driver - 05 Civic
seems awful expensive for a bit of piping and a coffee can, how much would just the muffler run me? i did stainless x-pipe duals with flowmasters for half the price of some of those setups almost

Re: My Daily driver - 05 Civic
A lot of work goes into designing an exhaust, then producing, marketing, packaging, shipping it to distributors and then add multiple layers of profit. I somewhat agree though, exhausts can be expensive. EVO, STi, Ducati exhausts can run over $5000, it's still just a bit of piping and a can, but there's even more engineering time put into them.
You can get just the muffler for like $80-120, it just won't sound as nice.

Yeah. I would go k-swap over anything but I dont plan on trying to make a 4 cylinder go fast. Its my daily driver. I also decided against exhaust, I'm just getting a set of factory fog lights (if someone can find me a good pair with all the wiring let me know) and upgrade my speakers. I already got a new cd player for it, traded my cb radio for it.

Re: My Daily driver - 05 Civic
Got my new cd player in now, its some off brand (freeway) but i got it for pretty much nothing traded an old cb i found in my basement for it. It sounds a lot better, going to get an aux cable and listen to my ipod through that. Getting some speakers soon and for christmas getting some smoked fogs and headlights and gonna actually get my tails tinted.
Re: My Daily driver - 05 Civic
I think I just might take it to an autobody place around here, I seen my friends do there own lights and they turned out good but it looks way better when theres like 3 layers of clear coat and stuff versus just a can of night shade.
