So what do you all thing about del Sols? There is a 1997 del Sol for sale nearby and I am intrigued. I havent gotten a chance to look at it because the car lot is closed today, but the only way I would consider it is if it has the B16 engine. You all think it would be a good car to have fun with and do mods on? Thanks!

I have seen some nice del sols, I like them. I don't think I would buy one though, just personal preference. Another thing is that, it's easy to screw it up and build a crappy one. I saw this one Del Sol once that had a full kit, motegi rims, and a frickin plastc crate **** for his grill. It was like some kind of milk gallon jug crate plastic weirdness. It was bad... ha ha

if it is in your budget to fix that car up nicely, def go for it. i've seen some really really nice del sol's. if you are buying and you really don't have the funds for it and it will end up half *** job, then don't waste your money. save it for something bigger and better. my $0.02.

I've done several B-Series swaps into older gen civics....never a del sol though. Same concept thought...d out b in....It's an easy, cheap, & fun mod. Can be done in 1 day, on ur back, & a case of beer. Even though the B series motors don't make any torque and moderate power they still make those older & lighter chassis fly. They are very fun to drive for a little car. Lots of high rpm pulls and that VTEC ROAR!!! I miss that so much on my car...now I have turbo roar! hah
BTW....14's are no stranger to a b-swapped older gen! Plus you get a targa top! I use to have a nissan pulsar w/ t-tops, i miss it, I'd kill for it t-tops again!

"added in 1994 in the United States, with the first appearance of a 160 hp (119 kW) Honda DOHC VTEC B-series engine in a U.S.-spec Honda; similar to the B16A found in the Civic Si-R."
