Hey guys, I'm new here and I though I could share some pics of my 1997 Civic Ex. It's my first Honda, and I love it =].
Enjoy!
Right after a fresh bath, and rockin' the hub-caps!
Future mods...
-Cold air intake
-New exhaust
-New wheels/rims
-Tint (15%/20%?)
-New headunit (Already have, I just need to install it)
-Replace speakers with Infinitys
-Get 2 12" subs in the back. (Not sure which brand/model)
I'm basically making it sharp, clean, and getting some decent audio.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for looking!

Nice clean ride. I'll probably be getting one of those as my winter beater, but a four 4dr though.
IMO, get one good 12" inch sub, because in reality, you really don't need 2. For example, I'd rather have one JL W6 over 2 JL W3's. It'll cost around the same as well. I'm not saying buy JL's, because everyone's opinions differ, just using it as an example.
Also, if you're going to put rims, lower it first. Don't do the rims first, it'll look like your car is a 4x4. Trust me, I've done it.
Also, welcome to the site. You'll notice that most people on this site have 7thgen civics, because this site used to be dedicated only to the 7thgen civic, but a while back they change to site to include all civics.

Well they are all I have for right now, so sorry.
I'm a little low on cash, so the audio comes first.
All but one of the speakers are busted XD
I'm thinking Infinity speakers all around, and maybe some Kickers in the back.
Input?
Noob question: Whats the difference between component speakers and...regular ones?
But anyways, I got a good deal on the car!
$3800, it reads 154,000 miles.
But it has a new crate motor with 27,000.

component speakers come with tweaters, that intheory give you better sound range and therefore sound quality, but IMO, its a waste, dont bother, the sound quality between 400$ bose speakers and alpine type E speakers, is minimal at best, i would just get some DECENT speakers, with a good rms rating, and a single sub. BTW i have alpine type R's, and 2 12's)

I have to STRONGLY dissagree with this statement. If you sit in a civic with properly installed component speakers and listen to the music, and then listen to a civic with regular full range speakers you could tell there isn't even a comparison in the clarity of the music. Am I saying spend $400 on Bose(crap home audio, didnt even know they did car audio)? most def not. Get what you can afford.

well it is just my opinion. (and yes bose does make car audio, it comes as an option in most new higher end cars), i have sat in some great xpensive audio, but just in my opinion spending 300$ on component speakers isnt worth the money when you compare the quality of sound, yes theres a small difference but would you really wanna spend an extra 200$ for 1 set of speakers just for a minimal quality gain. That cash can be better spent is all im saying, if your REALLY intense into audio, then by all means spend the money, you will get better sound, but then again not everyone has an extra 400$ for component speakers. And this guy himself says he's low on cash, so i would just advice agsint the component speakers, in his scenario
