Well I got the lights sealed and on the car, but the driver side one keeps blowing a fuse. so I am diagnosing that. I will get more pictures after it is fixed. They look ****ing awesome though.

That looks sweet bro!
If the left one keeps blowing a fuse, that means that there's moisture in there and it shorted out the leds. Is it the fuse under the hood labeled small light in the fuse box. My dash lights and parking lights would not come on because this fuse kept on blowing due to that one particular side tailight. I had the same problem with my drivers side tailight...I'm on my second set already.

Re: Finally Figured Out What to Do With My Tails
So I have finally finished them. There wasnt any moisture in the LED housing. It ended up being the plug that attaches to where the light bulb plug into. So I cut it off and hard wired them to the factory wiring.

DIAGNOSING THE SHORT

THE PROBLEM LIES WITHIN

You may notice that the lenses look a little warped. I think I had the oven too hot. It really isnt all that noticable unless you are looking for it.

Re: Finally Figured Out What to Do With My Tails
are u kidding me!? seriously man why cant there be manufacturers out there making these kinds of tails. i wonder how theyd look with the factory lens on. those look soooooo NICE!!....
Sick! You would definately put APC and TYC out of business lol
Imagine how they would look on a white or silver coupe! Nice!!
Blacking out/tinting/or painting the tails from the outside is dangerous, and not Bright. You have everything: Bright Led's, Amber/clear turn signals, and black housing which looks Sick on black 7th gens!

If you had replaced those lens with the 04/05 OEM lens then it would also would have looked good. But you wouldn't have the choice of having Amber or Clear turn signals, the only difference is that you would have black-housing OEM Tails with LED's. The way you did it Looks Better!
Nice! Your car looks like a BMW or something alot more expensive now. Great job!

baking means you put the whole light housing into an oven to melt the glue that holds the lens to the main body of the light.
I appreciate the comments.

It would also look good if instead of painting it black you could paint it in candy apple red or a dark red. It would look Good on red 7th gens. Similar to the 04/05 oem tails, but with LED's & cleared turn signals
Or painting the housing gunmetal or dark grey for those people with Magnessium metallic vics like me
Nice!

do you have the 7440 turn bulb? if so, you should get the philips silvervision amber bulb, they are chrome coated yet still brighter than stock orange.
