Well turns out old Nicky was a meat eater with an craving for frogs
I just tossed those old headlights in the garbage with Nicky.
I like the new headlights I have now.
To tell you the truth I think the OEM lights are only good for about five years before they start to turn yellow and hazy.

so protect them better. i use wolfgang clear plastic sealer every month or so which beads water, and protects plastic from sunlight. its expensive but ive had the bottle for over a year and still alot left.

sometimes if the headlights fog and you know they are sealed well, you can just take off the boot and wait til the vapor escapes, then put it back on.

plast-x or scratch-x, then sealer. you must use sealer or they will just get damaged again. uv light is bad for plastics.
