Question Grille Question?

Hey, I know this may sound stupid but the actual grille (where the honda emblem is) can that be replaced with like, the grille mesh that comes with a body kit? Or does it look tacky and should I just buy a different grille? Let me know, thanks

Re: Grille Question?

tacky and dumb. there are a few grills out so find one you like. kaminari-looks like coupe grill without H and with mesh screen on bottom half, RS-honeycomb mesh plastic and H symbol, altezza/typer-all black diamond mesh. and usually people paint the bottom lip to match the car, and the kaminari you paint the whole thing.

I don't really understand that, like I have a real grill? The stock one? I'm saying if I took the plastic insert off (The Honda Emblem Grill Piece) could I insert mesh there or should I just buy a grill off the internet (Grillcraft is too much and doesn't match the type of mesh on the bottom of my kit) But I was looking at this altezza one that looks nice, 40 bucks.

Re: Grille Question?

yea thats the altezza/type r/rs grill* (without the rs emblem) so i say go for it but find a cheaper one on ebay.. those u are talking about is 39.99+19.99 so i say just buy a 40 dollar altezza of ebay then paint it the same exact color as your bottom mesh. But yeah, im about to buy one real soon

Re: Grille Question?

^Agreed. In fact, when I do my gunmetal paint job, I plan to pick up a black grillcraft grill and sand and paint it with the rest of the car.

Re: Grille Question?

got from ebay $40 tezza grill, $30 painted lip ssm. still less than 1/2 what i paid for kaminari. i think it looks better for clear headlights. kaminari is too much paint.
