Well after a few suggestions from members here and my own needs I have decided to go with the following suspension set up for my 01 Lx 2dr
Tokico blues with Tein h-tec springs.
I will be looking at a drop of .7 front .8 rear
From what I have read it seams like I will have smooth ride better cornering better looks and not worry about adjustment issues and under body damage.
Looks like it will cost $590 total from Pro-civic.com
Of course I will do the the install my self I not

Its not really about the drop more about better performance than stock and retaining a good ride comfort.
also I plan to add a front lip spoiler and side skirts.
This will give it the illusion that it is lower than it really is.
some of the roads here is San Diego Cali are pretty rough

even if ur about the performance....Htechs are not that much better than stock (peformance wise). they are made out of a special material called Vanadium...they are a better ride than stock are optimized to USE stock struts. no aftermarket needed.
btw, tein Htechs settle @ 1.0F and 1.0R
Front spring rate: 140 Ibs
Rear spring rate: 258 Ibs
some better alternatives that arent too low are (with better performance):
H&R SPORT 1.3F 1.3R
Eibach prokit 1.0F 1.0R
+1 for me =]

I wouldnt even bother spending anything if your only going to drop it an inch..you wheel wells are still going to have a multi-finger gap bigger then my ex girlfriend these days... Lower the drop = lower center of gravity = better performance.

Yes Yes every one and there grandmothers knows wheel gap sucks dick the brands like BMW figured that out years ago if you notice there new cars they have very little gap even from the factory in contrast civics come with gaps deeper than the Grand Canyon.
With the H&R springs and Tokico Blues from what understand will get a 1.3"
drop thats enough to make a decent change in the looks department and without question (argue all you want) a huge increase in performance over stock.
Yea a will still have a gap but at least I won't look like those fools with zero gap and tore up front bumpers.
So its a trade off
lower car = paying a lot more attention to how you drive
not too low = not having to worry as much about seeing your front bumper lying in front of you after reversing out from behind those stupid ****ing paring lot concrete bumpers (thats what happened to my 96 A4 after I lowered it):
Thats the price you pay for looks!

^that is a good setup man you are right about those points.. do it up!... oh and blues are AWESOME with this amount of drop.
and Triz a lower drop does not ALWAYS mean the best handling. If you lower the car way past it's original specs you take away from how the car was originally supposed to handle, and thus not taking advantage of all the other stock susp. components. I wish zzyzx could get in on this

And if you have a nice car that you take pride in wouldn't you naturally pay more attention to the way you drive and not 4-wheel over cement stoppers?!? I think you'll be fine with the H&Rs, it's not THAT low. Keep in mind though, these springs settled to almost 1.6" in the back (on my car at least)
