ok so i hit a deer on the highway around 11pm... dude just showed up out of nowhere and pulled a dukes of hazards and slid across my hood...luckily it didn't do that much crazy damage.. anyways.. i was thinking about trading in my car in the future...so how much would it cost if i fix my hood, side door?

and since i've just had my transmission replaced by warranty...how much do you think i can get for my civic if i were to trade it in? (2001, 4 door LX, around 72k miles, with rear spoiler)

i seem to have some bad luck with this car lol

just to tell you that hood isnt worth fixing...what you need to do is get a new hood cuz that hood will cost more to fix than replacing and getting one painted

goddamn 1500?? lol how much does an oem painted hood and grill cost? and i went back to look for the deer a half hour later...and couldn't find the body..so i guess that bastard made it alive lol

my fenders are in ok shape...just the hood has like an assprint sort of (two dents as if a fat chick sat on it) and the grill is kind of caved in

You know, thats the smallest damage ive ever seen from hitting a deer. Its funny cuz it looks the exact same way my car did after rear ending somebody(fault of driver in front of me) but the damage was about 2200$ CAD. Why? because of the front frame, check to see nothing is bent or out of shape under the hood.

^ agreed..i've seen a lot worse after run-ins with deer. my mom had a deer run into the side of her grand am while she was driving. his head came through the window and one of his antlers punched a hole through her cheek...not to mention the damage that was done to the car. it pretty much mashed every panel on the driver's side....but they still wouldn't total the car.
