Question Too late to add a spoiler?

My civic is an '01 and I think I might want to add a rear spoiler, but I don't know if I wanna slap a freshly painted spoiler on my 5 year old car. I do take care of the paint though, so the paint is still glossy, but there is some light swirling going on. I just don't want to look at my car and there be a shiny *** spoiler that sticks out of place....

What do you all think? Slap a freshly painted spoiler on or just leave it wingless?

civic7dotcom is an unknown quantity at this point
I have had to replace parts (example. fenders, mirrors, etc.) on a 5 year old car as well with no noticeable differences. It all depends on the condition of your car.

Just had my 02 Rallye Red coupe in the shop to have the front bumper and drivers side fender fixed up and painted after a minor accident, and the guy used OEM paint directly from honda and it honestly matched perfectly.

If the clear coat on the car is still good then I would have the car buffed out by a pro. An cheaper alternative is to get some rubbing compound or wax cleaner and rub out some of the dead paint on the surface of the car. If you use rubbing compound then follow with some wax. Then maybe wait about a month. If the clear coat is bad the car will be dull in about a month. Thats how long it takes for the wax to wear off give or take. If its still shiny then the clear coat is still good. Then ask the dealer if he can hold the new spoiler next to the car to see if it matches. If it matches then ask him if he can match the cheaper online price to make the sale. Thats what I would do.

Wow, you guys are over analyzing this way too much. And dead paint? Why not just buy a 5 yr old spoiler, OEM would be easy to find. Spoiler+years FTW.

btw, haha @ your sig gif, thats my princess, damnit mario.
