It's a good idea for 17's I would hold off until you get your other stuff done tho the mod isn't THAT great, it just makes the brakes "feel" different, and more touchy. But the slotted rotors look cool

I would go with a suspension upgrade first. makes ride look a lot sexier and improves handling and cornering. Soon as i get my kit I plan to upgrade my suspension next.

The roof wont be as hard as you think, ****-- if you get it out, i'll do your roof myself for 75 bucks, just pay shipping. But if u wanna do it yourself, I'm here for questions.

You could do some engine work- I hope to one day... i'm going to start reading up on cams- but being I got an LX, there isnt a whole lot of after market interest, but I have an ex aftermarket exhaust =) No moon roof for me = saved weight.

On another note, a spoiler is ghay... what about a m3 lip, something a little more suttle?

BRED civic is an unknown quantity at this point
i would suggest, pop the grill in 45 $ and then do the coils but dont do the coils until you have the camber, do it all at the same time. Then strut, stiffy. Thats the order i would do, change the grill to add something differnt in the front, then suspension, just doing those 2 things makes the car 10 times better looking right away, then split the rest up after.

I'm planning on buying that rear windshield spoiler down the road, i dont feel like throwing a few hundred bucks at that pointless **** at this stage. The actual spoiler on the trunk though, its cool, but not that cool- its just a little too long for me.

As for the M3 lip I'm talking about, let me find a pic.

eBay Motors: 01-03 CIVIC M3 STYLE TRUNK LIP SPOILER/WING (item 260088874667 end time Feb-24-07 17:55:10 PST)

Another choice would be the hybrid lip. although I think this only fits the sedans with out running into problems, but do a search if you think of doing this.

ok so right now, im gonna put on the rsx rear sway seeing as how its just sitting here. Then because i have like 50 dollars coming my way pretty soon imma go for the grill. Also like i said in another thread, when i head home for spring break, imma look at some stores that sell some microfiber, and try to start on the door panels first then the roof and the visors. After that hopefully summer and a summer job will come along, and i will save up for the oem lip kit, cause like triz said i dont wanna end up lowering it before hand and then my lips scraping. Next will be the coilovers w/camber and the blanks all at the same time, then i might do the spolier depending on how my car looks.

during the whole process, imma prolly slowly convert the interior with the led's

arg..... lol

ok guys another question. Like about the coilovers.... would it suit me better just to get some lowering springs, and some new struts? im not looking to drop that low, like only maybe 1.5 inches.

but i heard the rear sway is a good mods, especially going from 12mm to 21mm.... am i wrong? also thanks for your input
im assuming this car is a street car? youll notice a little difference on the street, but really not that much. on the track would be a different story.

would it suit me better just to get some lowering springs, and some new struts?
again, for street use, yes. that is your cheapest method.

Ok here's my humble opinion.

First of all I think that you should stick to mods that can easily be switched back to stock in the future. You never know what will happen later on down the road. Like you said you plan on getting a faster car, and that will mean possibly trading the civic in . Well, I'll tell you this right now, if you plan on trading the civic in later to a dealer, it will be 10X's harder to sell it to them if it has a green headliner. Sure that **** will be pimp once you have it for now, but when you go to sell it, nobody will want it because it has a green interior. You are very unique and you want your car to be unique, but you are probably the 1% of total the Honda owners/buyers that would want a green headliner. So unless you are wanting to go into full custom show car mode (like blackbullet, etc. etc.) Then I say go for it! Green headliner, green door panels, ****, CROCODILE SEATS! But that's only if you are doing a show car, not a daily driver. As there is no in-between. Keep to the basic mods like suspension (as mentioned earlier numerous times). I recently installed Tokico struts and shocks on my car and it gave it a 1.5" drop and I love it and it handles really nice. A nice exhaust setup, and basic engine bolt ons. You said you were in college, and I know you don't have tons of money to blow on your car (for now that is). And you probably won't keep the civic forever, (hopefully not) and will get a faster, better car in the future. So don't worry too much about trying to create the "ultimate ride" and blowing tons of valuable money on it. Worry about school and making good grades, and going to class and meeting bitches. Wait until you get out of school and then you will make mad money and get the car you really want and never look back. So for now, just keep it simple, still have the civic and enjoy it while you have it, but try to avoid spending too much money on it or (EEEK) taking out loans to mod it

Cliff's notes: Work on suspension, exhaust, intake , headers, light exterior mods, lip spoiler, and try to avoid extravagant stereo systems.

Good luck in school!

^Well I know how it is. I remember I used school money to buy **** for my car Dumbest thing I ever did, and now I am paying for it But I held off for a while until I paid my car off (woot) and now I am slowly starting to work on the mods. Hence I have had my car for 5 years but haven't done anything to it yet. I am constantly resisting the urge to jump into a new car but that definately isn't going to happen with my current financial situation. So I am pretty much stuck with the civic for a LONG time ! It's a good car and I like it, just kind of sucks when all my friends are driving around in 350Z's and IS350's

^yeah, remember tho, there will ALWAYS be a better car out there, I like my civic b/c it's somewhat sporty, has A LOT of aftermarket parts, and gets GREAT mileage...

but the best thing about it? IT'S A HONDA

See i totally agree with this, but the thing is i dont plan on trading in my civic any time soon, unless i really have to... When i say i want a new/faster car down the line, thats gonna come after all schooling what so ever. im a junior going on senior in the fall, then i plan on getting my masters so thats gonna give me a good 3 more years in school... sigh... but yeah, i dont ever plan on taking out a loan to do anything to my car, so no worries there. As for grades, yea they come first, and girls well lol... none in my classes im in alot of engineering classes, i go sit it the interior design classes for them as for your cliff notes, thats what im working for , im not really into doing the sub thing... hehe

But yea thanks for the great info man.

btw with your tokios, what springs did u buy for your 1.5 lower? also how dows your car handle now?

It actually came as a setup: Tokico Spring/Struts. HPK304 or something. They settled nicely after I installed them, I was getting worried when the rear end was sitting a lot higher than front for that "hot-rod" look which I do not want...but after it settled it is a nice stance.

BTW you are 20 and going to be a senoir in college? Engineering too? Good for you man ! Don't mess up in school man, don't study too hard and don't wake up late for exams.
