there is no difference at all except the d17a1 stamped on the outside. not like youre holding out for a b18c with piston oil squirters. its a d17. who gives a **** whats stamped out the outside. i was looking at majestic today and did see that an a1 shortblock is like $500 more than an a2 shortblock. figure that out.

The oil pans are different the A2 is aluminum and the A1 is steel. The A2 doesnt use a rubber gasket just Hondabond silicone stuff and the A1 uses a rubber gasket. I have used both of them on my A1 block. I prefer the steel one just because its not cast aluminum and I could weld it.

the oil pan is the only reason? wtf is that? buy a different oil pan. an aluminum one came on my a2 when i swapped it in my lx and i put my steel on back on and sold the aluminum one to dopes. the brace from my block to trans wouldnt clear the a2 oil pan and i didnt want to track down an a2 brace so i stuck with the a1 pan. doesnt make any sense not to buy a block that doesnt even have an oil pan because the oil pans are different on the 2 motors.
WERE DID YOU GET THE INTERNAL MOTOR PARTS , FOR THAT PRICE .
IF YOU DONT MIND ME ASKING. . VERY NICE PARTS MY FREIND . HOPE YOU CAN GET THEM IN SOON . ITS LIKE CHRISTMAS ALL OVER AGAIN. I LOVE IT.
