Rep Power: 296 Learn the limits of the car before trying to upgrade it.
Alot of people mod their car then think they have giant ***** until they wreck their cars because they didn't learn how to drive properly.
A good driver behind a stock car will more than likely beat out a novice in a race car.
You'll have more fun later knowing that you're taking full advantage of the upgrades you invested in.

civics dont "rip".... civics have a very weak engines. bolt ons like intake, header, exhaust will only produce about 8-10 whp. best thing to do to get real power from your civic is to get a swap. you could go with a turbo, but its not worth the work and money.
imo you should start off with suspension work. upgrade to full coild overs, sway bars, or strut bars.
also you may want to search on here to get an idea of what other people are doing to their cars. just dont go the rice route, and make your car look like a shitty wanna be show car.....

Rep Power: 0 1 part LS swap, 2 parts build the motor for turbo ( low comp pistons, arp head studs and connecting rod bolts, forged connecting rods, good thick head gasket) add one t3/t4 ( or bigger ) 1/2 part turbo set up, shake throughly and enjoy over ice.

Rep Power: 0 Im with the K20A swap, and tune the suspension.....then depends on if u want turbo, SC, or N/A....and regardless DONT BUY JUNK.....u will gain respect for a few nice parts, rather then a lot of junk parts.......like someone else said, shop for what is the best for you car for what u want to do.....but dont be fooled, just because it is the most exspensive, doesnt mean it will be the best performing.....research is your best friend and will save you a milliong headaches my son!!! If you arent sure, dont buy it....unless it is somethign groundbreaking that no one knows if it works or not until someone tried it. My 3448385457475 cents!!
