Okay, I wasn't planning on changing my OEM tail lights but a tree limb accidentally ran into my tail light.

Anyway, the cracked tail light got me thinking...ordering a custom tail light would probably be cheaper than ordering an OEM replacement. But should I go with a black or clear housing?





I would rather it not look too odd in appearance...you know how some custom tail lights really do not match the overall "look" of the car.

Anyway, I have a Magnesium Metallic 04 Civic EX 4DR and was hoping someone would have some pics of their tail lights on their Magnesium Metallic Civic with either a black or clear housing. Or maybe just opinions...

Try and find some of the JDM tails, they look amazing. Screw those tails, they'll leak after a couple months.

i dont like either of those tail lights i would really go with jdm but if you are dead set on those then go with the black housings. but seriously i would get jdm.

Since you mentioned JDMs, I did a quick search in this forum and found some 01-05 JDM tails for sale. And yes, they do look amazing. Much better than the ones I picked earlier. I kinda like that cleaner look anyway.

I have some 01-03 OEM Tails for the Sedan not sure if they will fit your ride, but hit me up if you need them....JDM are clean though for sure.

On most days i'd say jdm for the sedan or OEM. But with your color ride, *this is the first time i've ever said this*... the black housing ones wouldnt look half bad. Its all up to you though
