So, I got stopped the other day by a state trooper, two minutes from house, gettign ready to get on I-95, going to work. He pulls me over for my tail lights. He said that they are illegal, because they are tinted. I said, i bought them because they are LED and i figured they would be safer and all that bs. He didnt like that answer. So as im sitting there he asked me roll up my windows, and he puts a tint meter on there. I immediately tell him its going to read 15%. Sure enough 15% on the meter. Se he gives me a ticket for windows, but not my tail lights. WTF. So now im going to go to ct so i can show them that i removed my tint, and hopefully get it dropped? I doubt it will happen, but its a shot. I have removed the tint ftom my front windows, and im going to put 35% insted of the 20% i had on it.

i like the rims but not the blue nuts lol.
those led tails arent tinted, so i dont see any problem. the leds are fully visible. i think he just wanted a reason to stop you.

yeah gearbox is right thats bs cops ahve nothing better to do but to follow moded cars. and do u think its a waste of money getting a catback on an automatic? i want an apexi ws2 but its 400 then i was looking at the N1 Tsudo ones

i have an auto and exhaust is fine, nothing wrong with modding autos, they are just slower than manual cause more power gets robbed by the torque converter.

oh okokok lol, i have 65k miles on my civic i want to buy an exhaust but i wanto buy a new car nexty year thats stick but idk yet i dont want to be wasting my money(evn tho i love it)

Well i got them from e-bay and it listed the years from 01-05. So i e-mailed the company i bought them from (on ebay) and they said it would work. So i tried them out and they worked. they fit in the spot good, and they hooked up fine. If you want more information on where i got them from let me know

Well there is a slight tint to them, but it doesn't effect how they operate. Your probably right, he just wanted a reason. lol...Hes not the only cop thats stopped me for them though. But everytime i get stopped, i dont get ticketed for them??? I dont understand. Why waste the time to stop someone if your not going to ticket them??? They spend 15-30 minutes b/s'n Ugh!!

they want to find something bigger than the lights. usually thats how cops catch drug dealers and other criminals by pulling them over for having a light bulb burnt out or other minor equipment violation. its just an excuse to check and see whats going on with you. cop could care less about your lights lol.

just generic brand headlight. not the best, but has help up for more than a year now. no fogging up or anything. The thing on top of the headlight is just an eyelid

Atleast it's better than what the cop did to me. Yes, I said "THE". He said that my turn signal was on for more than 2 miles and that was a reason to stop me. As I was rolling down my window he was like, "Sir license and proof of insurance" and I rolled down my window and said you mean, "Ma'am". And he was like, " Oh i didn't know women actually owned cars like this." Then I was pretty rude because I knew my turn signal wasn't on. Then he said, "What does your tint read.." and I said, "I don't know" (because I knew they were illegal) then he said that, "They they looked too dark so he did the test. And they came back illegal So then he seriously told me, "Either you peel it off now or you can come back and get your car when its peeled off." So I called my brother and his friend came and helped me take the tint off (AS I WAS LATE FOR MY SECOND JOB) and the cop waited there for this whole hour process. WTF! I was wondering if this cop was serious we were all cracking jokes about it. TWO WEEKS LATER HE pulls me over and asks for my number, and I gave him the wrong number hahaha. But then yesterday i get pulled over for a 45 in a 40 and he gives me a ticket and it says honda accord on the citation, its gonna be dismissed I already know. If you're ever in alexandria, ky watch out for officer wilkes. HAHAH So when people say girls get off easier BS!! And also, I have 5 tickets in the past two months on my record. 3 being from this one officer.
But that seriously sucks, I get picked on a lot where I live because theres usually nothing but diesels . But lose tail lights looks badass.

yeah some cops are terrible. he lied about towing your car for tint. if he did that, there would be big lawsuits. you couldve just drove off with a fixit ticket and have it looked at later to get it wiped out, but alot of people keep the tint and just pay the fine. you just happened to get officer ********.
