Pics of the Ride - Nice Day

Here are some pics of the car I took today. It was just a nice nice day outside so I took some pics. I'm no photographer, but I tried my best.

hmmmm must be nice to have nice weather all year round and be able to keep your car clean! It was 35 the other day, i took advantage of that and cleaned my car. Unfortunatly it snowed the next day and salt from the street got all over my car so you cant even tell i cleaned it. What size rims are those? Also are those stock headlights? They look different, I like em.

The exterior of the car is pretty stock, and she hasn't been washed for almost 2 months.

Cenz is correct about both the headlights and the rims.

The headlights are retrofied...I did this awhile ago with the help of some guys on the forums. And the rims are the Civic Ex rims.
She is dropped on Ksport Coilovers.

As for exterior plans, nothing. I like the way the car looks...plus I'm not big on spending money on things that are not functional. Hence why I still have stock rims and didn't buy new headlight housings. However, she does have a good amount of suspension work on her.

As for the weather...yea its LOVELY...Its pretty chilly though, roughly 50F. I know I know not that cold..but still cold enough for me!

Do you like those coilovers? A guy here is selling a full set for $500 but I don't want my car to hop around like a skateboard.

I'm not going to lie, they are hard. They are damn great coilovers...I love them to death. But they are harsh ride because most ppl lower them to low. On most of these civics we lower them to a point that restricts suspension travel. To be that low you need a few components like roll center adjusters to help the suspension work better.

On the softest settings they seem tolerable for most ppl, however I haven't driven on the softest settings since I got them. They are full hard all around for me. I don't care about the comfort, I'm to busy negotiating turns and worrying about oncoming cars.

I can tell you it won't hop around like a skateboard thats for sure. The spring and vavling of the coilovers are matched really well. I rarely find a road that is so bumpy that my coilovers can't maintain tire contact.

I heard it was tricky doing the HID install on 04/05 headlights due to lack of room... Did you use the TSX projector housing? where's texascivic, he too is looking at this...

Yes extremely hard...I wanted to use TSX projectors(don't fit), but I had to use some valeos. I actually did it myself to begin with, but due to the lack of room and my inexperience I sent them out to be done professionally because my cutoff weren't matching up. Even then this was the first 04-05 civic headlights he had done. And I must say his work is excellent. They were aimed a little low, still are but I don't want to send them back to have them redone. (he charges nothing to do this, just pay for shipping)

The other problem with these headlight housing is that if aimed to low, you cannot adjust with the stock bolt on the back. The reflector moves diagonally up and down in the housing, therefore the cutoff will only match up at one point, if this point is to low or to high then your headlights will be aimed to low or to high when the cutoffs match.

Btw the design of the lights, the way its blacked out, and how the projector has a little black circle around it, all my idea. If you look a few have even copied it for their headlights.

Pretty nice, you should of jumped on the other side of the car for the second two shots. But thats some really nice weather. It was 25 degreze hurrr today, soo fruken cold, burrr... still cold now, I think it warmed up to 35. Everything is covered in ice. Got out of work at 11am, and my car's ice had melted, and when it was dripping off, made icicles... blah. anyways, nice ride!

I didn't take pics of the other side of the car because I read some post about taking pictures and it says to take pictures of the side that is facing the sun.

As for the rim size, the stock tires were 195/60/15 so yes they are 15 inches. They fit 205/50/15 on there though, really well too.
