ACURA RSX-s or VW GTI (2007)
You need to drive both cars and pick out the one you like.
If you like both them you need to factor some things + compare them to your current situation before making a decision.
Are your parents buying the car for you?
Yes?
STOP HERE. Further reading isn't necessary.
Am I buying or leasing?
How long do I plan to keep the car?
What about the depreciation value?
How much is insurance?
How much will it cost to maintain?
How much more is it going to cost me to operate considering that I'll be using premium fuel + getting lower mpg?
The little things most people don't think about add up and could cost you more than you think over the long run.

any car is a hunk of garbage if you dont keep up with maintenance.....
heres a huge pro for the GTI: turbos on VW's are DETUNED FROM THE FACTORY.... just wait for a chip and you can push a lot more hp from that factory turbo with no problems. its like $400 for 60 hp and a lot more torque
pro for RSX-s though is that you can get a lot out of i/h/e and tuning and not have to worry about the reliablity issues that come with a VW

Ok.. Here It Is
the vw is a good car but not AS reliable as the rsx. on the other hand, the gti is a vw and if you are goin to start modding it... the differences are that at a certain point if you wanna go for hp. you Will ahve problems with is. At high hp levels the gti can't hold up and almost hits a limit...
damn almost jizzedd myself..
clean *** car.. i guess bottom line from what i`ve seen is that most of the people like the rsx-s because is more reliable..but then the VW has the turbo so you wont have to spend $3500 + to get a turbo set up for an rsx-s. hard decision.. and im planning to buy in the next few months...

with any car you run the risk of issues, thats why there is a warrenty. I feel like to you can more power, cheaper and quicker with a vw.
peep www.neuspeed.com for there audi/vw stuff.

Go VW. I dont know where you guys are getting your info that theyre unreliable. If I had the choice, I would go VW hands down. Not only are they able to make more power, the german kits out there are pure sex. If you have driven either, you will see that the VW is MUCH nicer. Not only considering the fact that the VW has a pretty much equal hp:torque ratio, where as the RSX is lacking in torque. VW's have always been known to have lots of torque, and hondas dont. just my opinion.

this guy is dumb. they don't make a vr6 anymore!!! you can get a gti with a inline four, or a rabbit with an inline five. don't buy eather unless you have about $5,000 to spend a year on problems. i'm a vw tech, i'd never own one of these. if you want a vw that's somewhat relyable, get a 97 gti vr6....
the other techs give me crap about my honda, but i wouldn't trade it for any vw!!!! fact!

Aftermarket parts for the vw will be so much more expensive(bodykit= around$2000) and they seem to have alot of problems. My buddies have vw and they are always working on them while my one buddy with his rsx type s enjoys his car without having to work on it.
In the end rsx is so much sexier and so much more potiential in the end.

Its funny people don't understand german cars are just soo dandy. Aftermarket parts for a dandy car are going to be shovel digging pain on your wallet.
But the up side? Woah dood you got i/h/e+install for only 1.5k(guessing)? Sweet 20hp. Not gunna happen.
First Here are the Base Gti Specs: 200hp 207tq (91 octane)
http://www.vw.com/vwcom/content/obje..._gti_specs.pdf
With an APR Ecu $599: *claimed* 246hp 282tq (91) 252hp 302tq (93)
http://www.goapr.com/VW/products/ecu..._mkvjetta.html
With Revo Technik Ecu $499: *claimed* 250hp 280tq (oct ?? probably 91)
http://www.revotechnik.com/products/....aspx?pvID=625
With a Giac Ecu $???: delivers a 18-50hp and 50-85 ft-lbs gain. For optimum power gains the software must be coupled with a cold air intake, exhaust, and the latest factory upgraded rail pump
http://giacusa.com/programs.php?mpid=121
These ecu call all be reprogrammed later to gain more hp, most of those companies carry "staged" packages that can increase your gains furthur. Just food for thought.
