Who's Civic runs?
My Civic was running fine for 95k miles before I traded it in. Only problem I had was my a/c flying off in the middle of the highway. Then it getting flooded out but that was a flash flood and I was asleep when the storm came through.
i have a 106,000, replaced the plugs for the first time runs great now, changin tranny fluid this weekend, MT, blown struts and bad tie rod ends but thats because it has a 106,000 miles, general maintenece stuff no problem. Gives me a better eason to drop my car
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

Im at 74k miles. only parts replaced were:
tranny (~70k free under warranty (bought used from toyota dealerhship)), starter (free under same warranty at about 50k), and front suspension components, which actually cost me money.
Today it ran perfectly.

02 coupe with 29k on it now. Went to the dentist where you HAVE to valet park. The car runs so quiet they always try to start it again. Now I just shut it off to save my flywheel. Car runs great! It actually seems to run better as it gets more miles on it....
i probably don't fit in the same category, but i have to brag. I bought my car, a 2001 civic EX coupe, a month and a half ago. It is a 5 speed manual, with 24,500 original miles on it. And......the original owner was a 62 year old woman, i am ready to ease through the next 300,000 miles on basic maintenence.

01 Civic Coupe EX 5 SP
I bought my EX just over 5 years ago new. I have done almost all of my own maintenance, which has basically only been changing the oil every 10,000 miles (on schedule according to the manual).
I now have 99,000 miles, and haven't had a single problem out of it. The only modification that I have done so far is installing the AEM V2 CAI, since I drive it for work and put a lot of highway miles on it. I still get close to the 37 MPG highway mileage, and closer to 30 MPG in the city because of my lead foot.
I am looking forward to the 105K maintenance coming up. I'll be changing the timing belt, water pump while I'm at it, give it a valve adjustment, and upgrade a few parts along the way. The problem with owning a reliable Honda is not being able to work on your car as much as you like.
Of course I prefer to be problem free.
The transmission still shift smoothly, and I do clutchless speed-matching shifts all the way through 5th gear regularly. I would've never bought the automatic, although I admit that this is the first 5 SP that I've bought.
I'll keep this for another 100K or 200K to drive for work, since it has more then paid for itself. I am going to buy an S2000 next year, 'cause I've got to have the ultimate project car.

great topic. mine's at 81k but it already feels like it's getting more and more sluggish.. maybe cos it's an auto.. either way i do the regular maintenance needed on my car. oil changes, airfilter, spark plugs, etc..
Just passed 40k miles and it runs great. I don't expect anything other than regular maintenance on this car. It gets driven pretty easy.
I run Mobil 1 5W-20, and I change the oil every 3k - 4k miles right now. I've considered running the oil about 6k - 8k with a filter change in between. If you're changing your oil before 3k miles, you're wasting your money.
