So the other day I was adjusting my Tein's (raising my ride just a little bit), changed my turn signal bulbs, nothing big...

I went to lock the car but when I pressed the lock button only the passenger side locked and unlocked. Tried again and again but nothing.

Later that day, I tried unlocking but none of the locks moved. I got inside the car, tried the power lock inside the car and that worked only on the passenger side. The drivers side, seemed to move slightly. I then got out, tried to lock with the key fob thing and it only locked the passenger side again....but again later I tried it and the passenger side wouldnt do anything...

so here's what I got...

Drivers side never works, but looks like there is some activity.
The passenger side works sometimes.

I checked the power lock fuse and they are fine...

anybody have any idea, has this happen to anybody before???

may seem like a stupid question but is your driver door open when you try to lock it?

ok. cause i know the driver door will not lock while it is open so you cant lock your keys in the car. my friend thought his was broken til i shut his door and showed him. so i thought that might be it. my friends 96 has the same problem. we swaped out the box that controls it. but now it is doing it again. i think it has something to do with the plug or the wiring maybe. but try to swap the box that controls it. dont know the name of it. but it has all those bars on it to open the door and control the locks. that fixed his for like 8 months.

oh and he got it at a junk yard for like 45 bucks with all the arms and everything

Im going to give that a try if I cant get it to work...but to touch what you said about the doors being open...

Like i mentioned above about the drivers lock how it moves slightly if I try to lock it. Well you know when you try to lock the doors with the drivers side open and it doesnt go down but it moves that little bit....thats what mine does with the doors all closed...

but yeah I have a feeling the electronics are fuked

good luck. the car attached to the outside door handle is a bitch and a half.
