so i'm driving down the highway coming back from the mountains. im going down the mountain when i see this rough spot on the pavment coming up. now im going pretty fast coasting down the mountain, i was having fun weaving in and out of the curves,when i get to the roughpatch i see on the far side of it this massive pothole. bam i hit it and immediatly the steering wheel starts vibrating like crazy. there was a car beside me so i could'nt move over and i didnt want to swerve on to the shoulder because there was a huge dropoff. so this is the end result bent rim. ive got to send it off or get real pissed and hit it with a hammer.

Damn that sucks man. Have U found out what it gonna cost to send it in and get it repaired? At least Ur ok and didnt have anything more than a bent rim happen to ya. Good luck with the repair.

the closest place to me that i found is about 50 miles away so i can take it and drop it off, said it would be about $85 and take about an hour. i dont know if that good or not. yeah it was kinda scary. i was probably doing about 70-75mph. here is the link to the repair shop if anyone ever needs it. you ship ypu rim to them from anywhere in the country.

Bummer, I drive by huge potholes all the time (town is poor) just gotta make sure where they are, but it could be worse, you maintained control and didn't go off the road, all you gotta do is buy one wheel!

maybe 2 wheels. i just went outside and pulled the back one off and it's bent also. but not nearly as bad. if i leave it though the tire will probably wear funny?

I wouldn't worry about it if the car doesn't vibrate. I have some imperfections in some of my wheels but since the car rides well I'm not going to get them fixed Besides i hate my tires, can barely hear at 49mph. they look like yours actually, what are those?

That sucks..hopefully you'll be able to fix it, but don't be surprise if they say they can't cause it looks pretty bad. For the price of the fix, you may be better off buying a new rim.

205/45 might of helped but this pothole was massive. where i pulled over on the side of the highway to look at it there were three other cars stopprd that had hit the same hole and they were running factory tires. so on second thought probably not. yeah i'm wating for the guy from e-bay to email me back and see if he will sell me just one wheel or not. if not i'll just have to get it fixed i guess.

just get a new one. might be the easier way to go.
