It's still a big lumbering giant that won't handle worth a damn, and big rims won't make the least bit of difference for performance. If anything, jack the thing up with big TIRES like modoman just said, and take it MUDDING

as far as mudding goes: i'm moving back to FL permanently sometime within the next month, so i'm thinking something like a Silverado 2500HD on some TSL Thornbirds will be in order shortly afterward... i'll keep ya posted for sure
