Rep Power: 0 02 Civic owner thinking about the gettng a 06 Civic
I just bought my civic in October, but recently I've been thinking about getting the 06 Civic. This is just a random thought I had at work yesterday, but right I can get the 06 for around 17,000 if I play my cards right. My 02 Civic has about 38,000 miles on it. If I harass the right people, I can get about 11,000 for it. Sell that and bam 06 Civic. What you think? I know this is a 7th Gen Civic love site, but any help/advice would be appreciated.

Rep Power: 0 i wouldnt, i would save up and get money to hook up your 7thgen, imo the 8thgens are not all that good looking, the best thing about them is the sedan taillights, other than they arent that great.. the sedans are WAY to big looking, and the coupes are basically the same as the newer accord coupes (which i would probably get over a 8thgen coupe)

Rep Power: 0 if it's what you want bro, than go for it!, i'm looking to trade in my 02 civic ex with 50000 miles on it for either a 2005 civic Si or a 2006 Scion Tc. don't count on the new 06 civic to be any cheaper than 18 K. those cars offer sucha little amount of goods but are sooo damn expensive!. the scion tc is like an Si coupe or hatch. DOHC 160 2.0 liter engine. thats not bad for a car that starts off with a price of 16,840, MSRP. it's all power too!. and that bitchen panoramic moonroof.

Rep Power: 322 If the finances allow, then go and trade up. You've got relatively few miles on the Civic so you can keep it a while longer and then buy a newer Civic when the prices drop down towards the end of the model year. You'll save the most by doing it that way.
They do look nice and I would get one when I'm nice and ready to afford one or when one of the current Civics in the garage dies on me.

Rep Power: 0 Thanks everyone for the comments. I definitly won't be doing this right now. I was thinking more towards the end of the summer. I don't know what makes me want to get a newer car. I'm happy with my Civic, just want something different I guess. If I decide not to get the 06 Civic, I'm sure to get something in the $17,000 - $20,000 range.
