Rep Power: 0 Thinking about painting the ride
hey guys i just got new rims and was thinking about my next mod...i was thinking along the lines of a really dark black.
here's my car
these are the rims i just got
idk what do you guys think i should do? oh and anyone thats gotten their car painted... how much was it?
i want to get the body adn the engine compartment also. if anyone has done this i really want to know how much it would be.
i guess it would help if you guys hada rough estimate of what it cost to get like a NHBP paint job...nothing crazy

Rep Power: 0 question: if you really like black rides such as NHBP, then why the fvck did you buy a SSM? I don't know but i think it's a fvcking waste buying a car and painting it to a color that was available in the first place.

Rep Power: 450 basically the only reason why i wouldnt get black is it shows scratches and gets dirty real easily, your also in michigan and during the winter your black car will look like crap, silver at least hides dirt and scracthes real well....but whatever you choose

Rep Power: 0 civicpraning just to let ya know nhbp was not available for me when i got the car. i got it used from a lot with my dad . i had no intent on modding it and now that i am i really wish i woulda gotten black. i just happened to get SSM. i didnt purposely buy it knowing i wanted to paint it black.
and by the way if your post has nothing to do with the thread, dont post. i dont care about your thoughts not relating to the topic at hand.

Rep Power: 292 to repaint the car really depends on the shop.
if you are going to do it the right way ... plan on spending between 5gs- 6500 i mean to do it the right way, and take everything out the glass, paint the engine bay, all of it.
now if you want to do a half a$$ed job you can prob. get away with 2500-3500. unless you know someone who owns a shop then you can get a better job. but to go to a shop as a walk in, its gonna cost. ....
why not just do a 2tone of the car black top and leave the ssm on the bottom.
that would look good, and prob. cost less and save you some money.

i wouldnt bother spending 2k or more on a paint job unless your going full show on the car. keep it for something better. like a swap
imo looks nice silver to black like that. clean look.

Rep Power: 0 i wasnt necessarily saying id go nhbp but i was trying to get a rough estimate of how much it would cost to do just a simple color change. no huge chameleon color paint or anything.

Rep Power: 260 my dad paints so he did my car, but the material was around $300. for paint, clear, hardener, and so on. so you cant go by mines lol. but at least you know how much they want for labor. also if you do get it painted i suggest you sand it down yourself.

Rep Power: 257 I love my nhbp. Ya it's really tough to keep clean and keep looking good, but when you do it's really worth it. You still might want to look around at other companys blacks to see what you really like. If you are willing to take alot of time into your paint, then you'll have results like this with your nhbp...

Rep Power: 257 Mines stock but just call a place up and ask. Different shops will have different prices. Call a few and find out.
