Rep Power: 0 I need expert advice
I'm a new member and just bought a 2005 Civic LX sedan, nighthawk black, 5-speed. I had a stock spoiler added and would like to add more mods. I need some advice on what to look out for and add. For example, I'm looking at some wheels-Motegi MR7 gunmetal, 17X7, 215/45r17. Are these a good fit? I want to make sure these specs are not going to ruin my suspension or transmission. I also plan on adding some tint, but not sure about the laws in my state (RI). I don't plan on racing my car, but I would like a nice clean look and have some speed too. Suggestions of any kind are appreciated. Who better to ask than the members of this site.

Rep Power: 252 Something you should remember when buying aftermarket stuff for your car is.. Know who you are buying from. If you get your stuff professionally installed make sure it's done by...professionals. Anything ghetto you put on your car expect ghetto results. Just remember.. You learn by your mistakes but don't make the same mistake twice.. Anyways, welcome to the site!

Rep Power: 260 The wheels should fit as long as they are 4x100 with a +45mm offset. I have +44mm and they work fine. I also have the same size tires and they work well as long as you are not dropping it more than like an inch cuz it might rub.

Thank dp_yz713 and ***** Fn FBM 85 for the feedback, I just ordered the gunmetal Motegi MR7's wrapped in Hankook K106 215/45/17's. I order them from PerformancePlusTire.com. I hope that the Hankook tires are solid. I did a little research, and they appear to be of good quality, what do you guys think?

Rep Power: 260 i dont have any previous experience with the honcooks, but the main thing to look at on a tire, if you want a long lasting one, then look at the treadwear. if it is at least above 300 you should be good, i think mines are like 360 or something. the higher the number the longer they last. make sure they have a good temperture and traction rating. at least a A grade in both of them

Rep Power: 296 I have Hankook tires, people will say they are junk or not very good, but i like them, my tires are wearing very slow and even, and the grip and sound of them isn't bad at all.

Rep Power: 314 my suggestion on keeping the clean look is to purchase and install an OEM lip kit if you have the $. In terms of speed, there isnt much you can do without sacrifising something else.

Rep Power: 0 I paid $780 for my wheels (Motegi MR7's wrapped in Hankook K106 215/45/17) online. They are going to include Gorrilla lugs, mounting, balancing and free shipping. Is this too good to be true? Or am I in for a surprise? Is this a good deal? I've looked around everywhere on the net and couldn't find anything better? How much do you guys think it's going to cost to mount them, or should I do it myself?
