Rep Power: 787 the stock bulbs put out very little light in the blue spectrum. for leds, hot spots are easy to remove. or you could get a bulk EL sheet and put it BEHIND the cluster for backlight.

Rep Power: 241 let us know when you get it working gear. I am in need of a kit. I tired the LEDs diskreet recommneded and half of them started flashing in and out and stopped working all together eventually. So I have stock bulbs glowing w/o the stock film and it looks pretty terrible

Rep Power: 787 i am starting a unique project for someone. just got a pack of PINK leds ordered so i am gonna retro them in the cluster to get everything lighting up good. you guys can always send me your cluster for around $100 I will do a complete led retrofit in the color of your choice.
The alternative for you since the gauge is cleared already is put two layers of red or amber taillight repair tape on the back of the cluster and then put small pieces of paper where the hotspots are. use the stock bulbs. but that only works for two colors.

Rep Power: 232 any idea if this method would work for 04 and newer models, since i remember gearbox had issues while working with a newer gauge setup.

Rep Power: 787 its actually not that hard to put more in there. Just drill, use some epoxy, and connect them all together. comes out nice and bright. i've done some of these in a few days non stop. just takes time and patience.

Rep Power: 787 for me it doesnt matter, theyre easier to mount without shaving, and theres a led behind each number so the light is evened out that way.
