I can't say much about DEI because I don't have any experience. I personaly own a compustar.
As far as air horns go:

I suggest a musical one maybe on a proximity sensor with the range set to inside the car. So as soon as someone gets in it goes off and will never be a false alarm. If you hear your air horn you know someone is in your car.
