Washed, Waxed, Debadged, but not without the battle scars...
hey guys i was bored today so i figured ide take the couple hours to wash and wax my vic and i figured while im at it i may as well use the debadging DIY and rip those suckers off... heres some pics, but while i was pulling at the civic badge i ripped back my thumb nail and now it hurts really bad and theres a little red mark under it.
but anyways the debadging turned out as good as i thought it would, had to use tar and bug remover and goo gone to get that **** off though... jesus.

yea yea, dont need to hear anything about the tails, they are goin asap.

my poor thumb... just thought it was kinda funny that i got an "injury" from debadging... not actually that bad at all.. just the red line under the thumb and it hurts when i push on it...

i just used floss to take off the vic sign then got warm water and a towel and used tons of elbow grease and it took about 10 mins and look clean and much better. Great job and hope the thumb gets better

yea i dunno, i have eyelids and stuff so i already dont like how the 04 headlights look with that little tab sticking up into the fender (hence why i was at one point thinking about down an 01-03 front end conversion), so i wanna black em out to kinda hide that tab (my car is black so it should blend in somewhat), and my headlight bulbs are very blue and i have blue turn signal bulbs so that amber piece is just out of place and makes the blue turn signal bulb shine weird like a mixture of blue and amber... just not my style. im gonna try to pry it off or something and replace it with a clear reflector (as to still be legal...) well see how it turns out (obviously ill just have to use a standard clear circle reflector or something unless u guys know where i could get a reflector for ti taht would fit in the slot thats not amber...

Does AEM pay people to put stickers on thier cars? Just wondering. I can't see why I'd ever do it unless they were giving me $$$.
Car looks clean, I wouldn't be too concerned over the little amber part. The wheels fit nice and it looks smooth.

haha as i said at the beginning of the thread in my disclaimer, the tails are goin asap, i dont really like the stock 04 ones, dunno why u guys like em so much, too simple and happy looking, nothing special. i like the stock 01-03 ones much better and i think im gonna buy http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=146581 those tails instead of the altezzas that are on there now, if anyone wants to buy the altezzas ill sell em and ship em anywhere. i think those tails that im buyin look awesome, very unique, and match well. I was thinking about smoking my original 04 ones but i realized fully smoked ones look a little odd on a NHBP vic. AWESOME on a SSM vic tho.

and yes, 01-03 eyelids, dont quite fit right...
... but i used the 3M tape liberally and they sorta bend to fit around the headlights, only a few people have noticed it and they say its not too bad, so whatevs, i think they look tight. but when i get a CF hood on ill just do the real deal with 04-05 real cf eyelids.

I think black cars look awesome with blacked out tails. That's how I had mine, and it looked great. As for blacking out the headlights, once you black them out, try replacing the amber piece. It looks sweet.

If anyone ever needs to debadge a car (or pull off a bodykit that used double sided tape) the greatest invention ever is an Eraser Wheel. I went to a local auto body supply store and picked one up. You just attach it to a power drill and it does all the work. For only $12 it was WELL worth the money. It's a great way to pull off vinyl graphics, adhesives, or pinstripes from your car without damaging the paint.
