Arrow Civic '01 Keyless entry lights

What's up guys,
I have this 01 lx and the guy who drove this car before me put in some cheap keyless entry system. There is no sound/beep and the lights don't even flash. So my question is how can I wire this thing so the lights can blink on and off when i press it. Anyone know how to do it??? and are there any pics that i can look at?? I just want the damn thing to flash on and off cuz i always have to confirm with my eyes to see if the lock is up or down and it's annoying cuz i have to stay close to the car to see it.
Please help me out here!!
Thanks~

Moving to the question...

you gotta figure out what system he put in there. Some are just basic unlock and lock, while others come with the capability to flash lights and horn. My guess is that if it isn't hooked up alreayd, im sure it isn't gonna be able to. My advice would be to to go out and get a new one. They are only like 50 bucks for what you are looking for. And that way you know whats in there and that it works

If you can find the control module and get a make & model # it would help to determine.

Just buy a good alarm... it'll have those features for you to hook up.

More then likely the keyless entry unit you have now doesn't allow for horn or parking light flash.

yea i saw an alarm on circuitcity.com... it's a python... is that any good? shock sensors/remote start/etc... $159.99.. not bad i guess.

are there any bad sides of having remote start? theives can steal it easier, etc.
and is it gonna be harder for remote start cuz i have the key immobilizer....

edit: i meant are the installers gonna have more trouble installing the remote start cuz of the immobilizer..

for the most parts, car alarms rely on the install for their effectiveness. You could have a bottom of the barrel alarm but put it in the hands of a competent installer and it'll perform great. On the other hand, a viper 791XV in the hands of a DIY'er could be rendered useless.

The python sounds like a good unit. If the Remote start is hooked up right and installed in a stealth manner, the car is no more vunerable than it was before the starter. The immobilizer in our cars requires a bypass unit and will require a key. I used my valet key and buried the unit deep inside the dash.
