did you guys leave the shift boot alone? anyone try sewing it shorter? any shift boots out there that will fit nice n easy?

but yea is there any short shifters that dont make the actual shifter all sunken in?
cause i like where the stock shifter height is in relation to my arm rest, its like perfect and i hate other peoples cars that have the stick like all sunken in down into the tranny.... and i dont want one of those giant chrome stick short shifters those look freakin whack...

i think it looks funny with all that extra leather. doesnt look clean enough.
yes sir, there are short shifters that wont change the height at all. theyre called short shift adapters. they are cheap little metal things that just change the pivot point on the cable. DC sports makes one, among other companies.

i got an adapter from meganracing@yahoo.com off e-bay for 15 bux works great and made more than a noticable difference in length of shift front to back. i would say its the only cheap sudo bolt on for our cars e-bay offers.

If the leather was cut, and it was cone shaped, it would look gay in my opinion. My friend did that to his conquest... it looked like ***.
