Installed HID!
Finally one of the PIAA bulbs is burnt out and it's time to get HID!
I ordered the Prolumen 6000k H4 HID from Impulse (that's the only one he has in stock for anything less than 6000k) and just installed tonight.
While I was taking the pictures, I feel like it's kind of bright?? maybe i have been driving with the stock for awhile...
Please let me know if they are too bright or not. are they aiming too high? I was just driving 5 mins ago and at the intersection, there's an old lady going to make a left turn and covering her eyes while she's turning, i wondered if my HID is too bright??
(if you think the light is too blue, it's probably because i don't know how to take the picture.. the light is actually purplish + whitish...)

are you on leveled ground? or does it go uphill?
if its leveled, drive your car up to the wall/garage put some marks where your headlights hit, then go straight back 25ft, and see if the beam goes above or below the marks.
If it goes above, then you need to aim the headlights down,
If it goes down, then you are fine

very nice, i have hardcore glare too, im usin the xtec 6000k kit from impulse
they probably arent too bright as you were saying, its just that you are probably used to halogens. i thought my HIDs were really super insane bright when i got them, but they are normal to me now.

just lower it at least. You will still be able to see fine. My friend here has that kit and yes it has glare compared to mine, but it's not so bad that you have to look away. I've driven in front of him without being bothered. I think they're just too high on yours.

alright.. i just found this thread of how to adjust the headlight properly...
http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=152358
so the prolumen kit is "known" to have more glare than the xtec?

yeah i kinda lower it without doing the proper way since i haven't found a good place to do it yet and i'm out of town in the whole week.. will try to adjust it next weekend
(i don't want to do it too publicly that the cops will ask me what the hell i'm doing with that bright headlight)
but it seems better after i lowered it now, i can see more clearly on the ground

Over all how was the install for the Prolumen kit in ur OEM set up (that's what I will have once my kit gets here). Ne hikups during install...and how and where did you mount ur ballasts and ignitors...?
looks good. ur not going to fix the glare unless you get projectors so deal with it.
and i have driven behind cops plenty of times and nothing has happened but then again my car looks like it could have stock HID's cause its clean i guess? lol. fo SHO!
