Rep Power: 0 I had them on my old Civic before I bought my new one, and the things kept blowing out - I don't think one lasted me over 5 months or so, and I've heard other with previous experiences. They're definatley brighter, but it's not worth the money for something that won't last longer than 4 months IMO.

Rep Power: 0 I installed my Silverstars about a year ago, and so far I've had no problems. I was very careful not to touch the glass, though. I recommended them to a friend of mine, and he had me install a set in his Accord; he noticed a difference right away. There's not a bluish tint, though -- they're just a little whiter. You may be confusing them with the Sylvania Cool Blues.

Rep Power: 243 there's just something about putting a part you can buy at wal-mart on a car you care about that bothers me Seriously though not worth the money at all IMO. They are brighter than stock, but if you are want white and bright get about a 4500k-5000k HID kit....I belive that's the correct temp.

Rep Power: 787 If you have to get halogen, find some european OSRAM silverstars or cool blue. The stuff we have here is junk and won't be as bright as stock. My bro put silverstars in his rsx and they blew in a month (I installed em). Not that much whiter altho there was a small difference.

Rep Power: 255 I had the old style HID kits... with all the relays... my bulb blew and I was SOL. So, I bought the Golden Style MTECs from Impulse... if you look at it, they look all funny b/c its not completely yellow - but I swear to you, they are bright as hell. I would say they argueably put out as visible of a swath as my 8000k HIDs did...
I think it's because they are ion coated glass rather then yellow tinted glass... anyway... they rule (until I can buy an XTEC kit) LOL
