Your opinion will gradually change as you get older and you will eventually, “See the Light” like I have. QUOTE]
No, actually, that's not true. There's a reason Toyota outsells Ford and Chrysler. I started my automotive life back when I was 10 by saving up every dollar I could make to buy a Camaro when I was old enough. I was just as devoted as anyone else to Mrican cars. I associated with strictly Domestic fanatics and scoffed at all those ricey little econo-boxes. Then I owned and worked on several domestic cars, new and old. Owning Domestic cars is what caused me to change my opinion. What you had was a "lemon", a rare bundle of problems that curses every car company, regardless of where they're from. Good luck with the Vette. I don't agree with your purchase, and as ignorant as I consider it to be, if YOU are happy then that's all that really matters. I've known plenty of Chevy mechanics (benefits of owning a Chevy, you get to know your mechanic real well) and have never met one who considered that a quality car.
It's just ridiculous to think that because you had one car plagued with problems, especially one from the beginning of a chassis, engine, and transmission change, is proof that all imports are junk. Age doesn't determine what car you choose, knowledge does. I've done over a decade of research on automobiles in general, and I still chose an "Import" (even though it's an American made, North America only model). So how old do I have to be to "see the light" as you put it, oh wise one? Maybe I can use my retirement savings to "see the light".
just my rant

Rep Power: 0 A friend of mine has a 1970 Camaro with a 383 stroker, fully built in the neighbor hood of 500 plus HP. With Mickey Thompson E/T Street drag slicks on perfect track conditions he can get a 1.7 sec 60foot time, these slicks are 12.5" wide also. Good luck with the street tires.

Rep Power: 0 i'm not reading this whole thread but to add my .02 my friend had an 80 something stingray that looked great bt had problems so (his family is rich) he got a 383 stroker crate engine and had it put in. i tell you what that thing hauled serious ***, but it started having problems again and finally gave up and sold it. point of this story is it may seem great now but it may not always be that way.

Rep Power: 308 just because he's banned, doesn't mean he can't see the thread. I see why you banned him s2000man, but the sad thing is he's gonna post this thread on his corvette forum, and start making up bulls*it how you banned him because he said the corvette is better than the civic.

LOL well if he is happy thats great but if he didnt know if you want to post times that sound like 100% BS you better have slips to prove it. Almost any member will jump at a civic owned to call BS as fast as a vette owner so I dont think that he was treated unfair. Fine with me
