under race conditions the average temp of the haader will be around 1100 degrees. We wouldn't know that though we only build headers and sell the components for a living
If headers run about 800-1100 degrees in surface heat, just think what a turbo manifold with 10-14 psi is gonna be

Id say thats pretty close to 1600 degrees

and yes i just asked him and its a hi temp paint from a gun, if you use ceramicoat (especially on tubular manifolds) the heat will find a place to displace itself and cause flaking or cracking so therefore the best route to go was with the hi temp paint....
