the headlight splits into two pieces. The piece most people paint is the outer piece. Thats why only the outside is painted on most peoples. he painted the second inner piece with the reflectors for the halogens. He taped off the reflector part and parted the chrome on the second piece. This is a little bit more of a challegene and little more work. not very difficult, just more effort then more people have put in. You can see the two separate pieces under my rides in my profile.

What kind of paint do you use to tape off the chrome reflectors? Painter's tape?

yea exactly what he said. I just baked in...but yea personally i like it alot better like this. i know they have the "jdm" style headlight in black housing but its only the outer lens black. it looks alot better fully blacked out except for reflectors in my opinion

go stock or nothing.... if u want stock. look on ebay. they sell them painted oem for real cheap.
