Rep Power: 296 i think you should only get a 05 if you plan on keeping your car for a long time, because your losing a couple of grand in cash.
From a finanical stand point, it would just be cheaper just to fix the problems on your 01-03 and buy a 04-05 interior and swap it into your car. You can probably get a 04-o5 below invoice now since the 06's are already out and offer more features for the money.
In the end its your cash, so do what you want with it. I can understand your love for the 04-05. Look wise the 04-05 > 01-03....lol. The build quality is better on the 04-05 as well.
Let us know what you decide and take pics of your new and old ride so we can compare.
This site should give you an idea how much those 05's should be going for.

Rep Power: 0 yeah, if i get an 05 civic ex than THATS IT!. no more other cars. i'll plan on staying with the 05 for as long as it'll bring me. my brother once had a blue 05and i thought it was hot!. he couldn't pay for it at the time so they took it back from him. but i fell in love with that look. so since then i've always wanted the 05 civic ex. i'm hoping that the HONDA dealership will understand my trade. do you guys think they will think i'm strange for trading an 02 for an 05? cause some people have told me that, that sounds a bit strange. why the hell would a HONDA dealership wanna have my 02 for an 05? i would imagine that most HONDA dealerships are TRYING their damndest to try to get rid of 01-05's. so why would they want yet another 02 and give me an 05?. i'm just hoping that when i go there, they don't ask stupid questions like that.
OH!, and YES!, build quality is ALOT more better than the 02's. my brothers 05 was built to a T. i found so many improvements with his 05 than with my 02. damnit!. i need 2000 dollars.

Rep Power: 296 They'll be willing to do it, because they'll make at least 4k on you from the trade. Depending on how much they give you for your trade in and how much interest they charge you.
I dealership is always willing to make a deal, long as they making money off of it. Just keep them in mind.

Rep Power: 0 To all the 04-05 owners...
Any of you mount your license plate to the side... lower... or in another position on your front bumper? I want to totally remove it, but the law here wouldn't allow me to do so. My car just recently got sandwiched and it damaged my front license plate holder/mounting bracket, so I thought I might as well try something new.
If you mount your plate differently, please post some pics and how you mounted it, thanks alot!

Rep Power: 0 check out my pics on page 48 in this thread, i get mad props from all kinda of people. all you have to do is bend the top of the plate like 45 to 50 degrees back and drill a hole like 3/4 of an inch on each side and mount them to what my bracket mounted to, it is VERY secure and very tight.... like i said MAD props from all people with other cars.

Rep Power: 0 Supposedly its also illegal to put your plate on your front dashboard, at least in WIsconsin. I found this out the hard way. Im in the mood to post my first pics, but my Kumho 711 just exploded from running over a nail haha. When tire rack hooks me up in a day or two, I'll post up the VIP VP.

Rep Power: 0 ive never had issues with the cops, it is only bent, and i have the tag from in my glove box.... ive contacted the police station and asked, and the local law says that you have to see the nuber for what country the plates are registered in. so not being able to see the state is no issue..... if i do get pulled over i will be like okay ill fix it now, i didnt know it was illegal.. ill get out and bend it back down and put the sticker on. i dont really care, but i know it looks super clean. at least to me???
