Rep Power: 0 DIY Black Out 04 Headlights
Just thought I would post this up right quick for the people wit 04's who don't know how to do their headlights. Pretty much it was easy to do. The only special tool you'll really need to do this would have to be a 10mm socket with an extension.
So pretty much start out by taking off the front bumper. If you don't know how, then check out the headlight clearing DIY under Exterior in the DIY section. After, you'll need to pop off the one clip above each headlight, then take off the three screws holding each light on. Now the only tricky part bout this is their is a bolt holding the healight in under it. It is kinda secluded under the metal support bolted to the headlight. This is where that 10mm socket with the extension comes in. Pop that sucker out, and you got your headlight.
So now you have your headlight in your hands..What do you do? Run as fast as you can to your oven, and preheat that bitch to 350 degrees. While your sitting staring at the oven waiting for it to preheat, you might notice quite a few clips holding the headlight together. After you heat the light, you'll be taking care not to break these clips.
Ok, so the oven is preheated now, pop the light in there, making sure NOT TO PUT THE CLEAR PLASTIC PART ON THE RACK. Let sit for two minutes, then pull it out. Now you have to work kind of quick as to not let the silicone get hard again. Spread the headlight apart gently with a flatehead from end to end, then pull it totally apart with your hands. After it is apart you should have the plastic part with the holders for the light in one piece, and the plastic clear piece with the housing together. There is a small screw holding the silver housing in the plastic piece, so get a phillips head and take off the screw. Now you have your housing. Its your decision how you want to paint it. Use and primer, or just ruff it up and spraypaint it, whatever you want. After you got it all painted and nice, bolt the housing back in, and take the two pieces, and squish em together the best you can.
Now, throw the headlight back in the oven for another two minutes. Take it out, and squish it together more to seal it up. If your going to use extra silicone this would be the time to do it. After that, let her dry, and then begin bolting them back into the car.
VOILA !! blacked out bitching nice *** headlights!!
(I got picks, but I dont have a host to put them up..So, just imgane nice *** black out headlights on black 04 vic...mmmm...sexy...)

if you set the oven at 200 degrees instead of 350, and leave them in for 7 minutes rather than 2, you run less risk of melting them
