Trade for an 02 Acura TL?
I was just presented a problem.
My sister's lease on her 2002 Acura TL is gonna end pretty soon. She has the option of buying the car out by paying about 15k to own it. She told me that if I want I can trade my Civic in and pay the difference of like 6-7k and I get the TL to keep. She's gonna lease another car so she doesnt need the TL.
The car just hit 40k miles and if I get it the first thing I do is purchase 100k bumper to bumper.
The problem is that I love modding my Civic and with the Acura the most I can do is slap some nice wheels on there and call it a day. So I wont really be able to mod the Acura like I do with the Civic.
Basically, its my love of modding Vs. driving a pimp car that doesnt need to be modded.
What would you guys do?

hmmm...........some nice 19's and a full stereo would be pimp in the TL.
But then again, modding won't be as fun. How much do you owe on ur vic yet ?

keep the vic dude. if it was the new tl's i would say go for it, but eh its not even the type-s and your vic is SICK as hell. save a lil money and boost or swap, car will be faster, nicer looking, and turn more heads than a 02 tl.
Make sure the tranny in the TL is still working good, 2nd gear is the problem gear. My mom had a 02 TLS and the tranny went out. No problem in her 04 yet. Otherwise thats a tough call, I like your vic but the TL is a very fun car to drive but it does go through some gas in a very short time. Its hard to keep your foot out of it!

Screw that. Think about the money that you are willing to come up with to buy the TL. Now think about everything you can do to your civic with that money. If you end up paying 6-7k for the TL you could buy an engine swap for your civic, OR everythign else imaginable. Take it from me, there is no better feeling then having a paid of car, and making it your own with mods.
well, that is a very hard decision. your car is a legend dood, but then common sense rings in tl>vic
and with your taste you can prolly make a pimp *** tl that will wow us all here on 7th gen
