what do you guys think if i custom fabricate a hinge for my gas door so it'll open up like a lambo door? this way my lambo door will open up the same way as the gas cap.

Rep Power: 368 Which is why if you see one opened all funny, you'll stop for a sec....go WTF, and maybe, just maybe, go walking back to the car....hopefully the rest of the ride can back up the gas door with something snazzy like lambo doors and a nice kit. If the gas door is shaved and gone, you may not even notice. It's all about catching looks, isn't that what 99.99% of exterior mods are about? Just my 0.02, my taste differs from yours.
Of course, if and when this mod gets documented in a DIY, EVERYONE is gonna do it, and it'll get so played out, like the flip flop trunk...

Rep Power: 0 no don't do it. not that it wouldn't be original, however think about it gas nozzle goes up and down not side to side, do you may have difficulties filling your tank, might get nozzle stuck, or cut up your hand when getting gas not a good idea, original thought though.
