Toasted clutch

So tonight I was racing my friend in his AWD Turbo eclipse (3" exhaust, Emanage, Aftermarket IC piping, No cat, Turbo upgrade 13.6 sec 1/4 near sea level). First run we did from a standing start, damn AWD can launch. But I kept up kind of ok. Then we ran from a rolling start, and I beat him by maybe a car length. But near the end of the race my rpms hung at about 5000. Then we did a rolling start again and the clutch did it again only in a lower gear this time (This time it happened I slowed down right away) I drove it home right away to let it cool. So I think I glazed the clutch, am going to drive it tomorrow and see what’s up, if it happens again I will to pull the tranny (I think its time for a four or six puck)

That’s his sea level time best. Up here at a mile high it would be more in the 14s. Damn altitude sucks.

A t25/28 hybrid at 10psi daily 14psi race. It hasn’t slipped since, but I think the Torque might be too much for it. Since then I beat a Stock EVO 8 from a roll, but I am going to need a stronger clutch before I do a turbo upgrade.
