As for the razorblade idea..... I like it, but don't be surprised if you get sued later by the thief and he wins. Seems that bodily injury wins out over theft of property. The systems sucks! It's made to protect a$$holes.

Rep Power: 346 Dam that really sux!!! I saw this tv show today where this guy made a little video camera in the car. So if someone breaks in it automatically starts recording and calls your cell and you can look who's ****in wit ur car on ur phone. We need that here.........
how'd they get it out? Aren't there 2 screws that hold in in from the bottom, you can only get to by removing the center console? Or did they just monkey **** it out? Anyhow, that sucks man. I recently had my $120 rod and reel stolen out of my friends truck along with his $250 tool set. The bitch of it was neither Viper alarms nor his insurance company coverd the loss.

that really sucks man. hope insurance will cover it. but i do want to see pics of this razor blade idea cause its not making sense to me yet.
honestly, though, dont paint the interior. looks bad and attracts theifs.

Rep Power: 0 You know, a lot of people who steal stereos and stuff like that out of cars do it to support drugs habits. And a lot of people with drug habits tend to use dirty needles. And a lot of people who use dirty needles tend to get horrible diseases.
So, ask yourself, do you really want some guy w. HepC or AIDS getting his blood all over your car because you decided to attach razor blades to your deck? I know I sure as hell wouldn't...

Hey I have an idea, What about attaching a cable to the back of the head unit and then attaching it somehow to the framework behind the head unit. Theres got to be a way to attach all that and they shouldnt be able to break a cable thats about a 1/4 inch think they would have to have bolt cutters or hack saw or something. And I dont think most theives carry them around, for breaking into a car. Just an idea may not even work, what do you guys think.

Rep Power: 285 They didnt want anything but the stereo. Everyone wants stereos, not everyone wants the electronics. I have seen soo many cars with their head units and subs stolen, yet they leave the $900 Blitz Boost controllers and emanages.
Remember that the people stealing your stuff is in it for the business. They cant move apexi products and things of that sort as fast as they can a stereo. Those are specialized products, when the stereos really arent anymore.

or you have the scumbags that steal your stereo's cuz that is all they know and if you show them a boost controller, they have no idea wtf it is.
