yea, its false moron. what kind of idiot thinks that the only power enhancing mod is a turbocharger? its kind of ironic that he said "every mod you get will only be for sound" but then says that a turbocharger mod is the only thing in the entire universe that will give you power. so does that mean turbos are specifically for sound? i knew it... the sound gives you hp!!!!

oh and when i said "the d17 model engine does not peticularly like small bolt-on's for some odd reason. If you went in-depth and had plenty of cash, We could discuss turbo/supercharging, engine swaps, forged pistons and all that good stuff."

ok maybe i should explain it this way for the idiots: I SAY if you went in depth and had plenty of cash, you have the options to do an engine swap, or turbo/supercharge your pre-existing d17 and. just a few of the many examples to make a 7th gen faster.

bleh, if it is the hx engine, dont bother even trying to mod it. Those engines are specifically configured to lower emissions and get you better gas mileage than EX and LX. Unless you can hook yourself up with an EX head, then I dunno. I heard vtec in HX only is good for messing wit ur gas mileage. Those cars aren't meant to be racing and stuff. But if you do decide to mod it, Turbo is ur only option. Or if you have tall cash, drop K20 in there.

What would be the easiest and economical swap for D17Y. My son bought a 2000 EX, but instead of having a "V-Tec" D18Y it had been swapped for a D17Y.

He is not wanting a drag car, but he wants something that will dependable and just **** and get on down the road. It's hard keeping up with all thes H's, HB's, JDM's and all this letter stuff.

It is just a 2000 Civic EX 2dr. coupe with the wrong engine in it. Thanks guys.
