Molded vs Fused vs Bolted On
Can anyone find an example in member's rides of an r34 kit sides that are molded on vs bolted on? I'm told that fused is supposed to look like it's molded but it uses like bondo or some kinda stuff. Whatever. I want to see what the difference end product looks like when it's on the car, if anyone can help out.
This is the Octane sides not molded. You see how they come up behind the door and stick onto the body? It sticks out randomly and looks like it was just glued on. None the less, this car looks hot as hell but I'm just using it as an example.

Now, if those sides were molded, the part of the side skirt that is sticking out behind the door would smoothly be molded in with the body of the car and you wouldnt see that part sticking out. Here is an example..... notice how the rear bumper and the side skirts dont have any lines in them and look like its alll one big body piece. Basically, the sideskirts are molded onto the body and looks like they came stock with the car..... you dont see any "cracks" or whatever you want to call them. Here are the same sideskirts as on the red car only they are molded..... Its really easy to see the major difference

Damn that's crazy. So how do you do the molding process? I was told by someone that "fused" makes it look like it's molded on but doesn't cost as much or take as much time. It just looks to be like, on the one with it molded on, the parts that stick up were just cut off or somethin'. I mean it's like flawless 'n whatnot. Looks great.

This is the orange car before it was painted so I'm assuming it is bondo. PM a member RiceBurner and find out exactly how he did it because the orange car is his.

there are many types of ways to fuse bodykits together...the two i know which are easiest and fastest is either using bondo to seal it up or fiber glass work...its not that hard but bondo is the easiest...although it wont last as long u can make it look good...but if u buy good bondo than it'll last a long while
