Idea...??
Idea...??
Okay, I'm not yet an owner of a honda but i'm saving my money. I'm in high school as of right now and i'm set on a 2001 Honda Civic Si. I have an idea once I get this car and want your opinion. I was wanting to put a front and back bumper plus side skirts - i want all these to give me enough clearance so I dont crack anything and for the winter in Iowa...but anyways what I was wanting to do was make a hole in the side skirts right before the rear tires and dualing the exaust so it would come out the side skirts right before the tires. What would think that would look sweet or should I do away with that idea??

Well first, I'd find a car that exists. Then I'd realize its not a Viper, Shelby Cobra or Roush Mustang and leave the exhaust where it is. Seeing how its only got 4 cylinders, I wouldn't be putting duals on it anyways. Finally, I'd not use anything made of fiberglass if you don't want to smash anything. Honestly, the stock bumpers are lighter, so why add more weight?

lol, there is no 2001 SI. the current SI with the k20a3 was started in 2002. the 99-00 had the b16. its not good to put sidepipes on civics. you may lose power and most people look at this as rice including myself. btw a 7thgen SI (2002-2005) is a great choice. good luck man, hope you get it.
sorry guys i must of had a typo what i meant is 2000 Honda Civic Si. For one, it may be rice but i think it would look alright, it wouldn't be a true dual just split. I dont like the coffee can exausts anyway so I dont know what to get?? I like the sound the hate the look of the huge ones. How much would the btw si run me? just wondering

an unmolested 00 Si is very rare. Expect to pay $15,000. If possible, buy one with some slight mods, or maybe unoffensive ones. Modding devalues the car considerably as far as the used car market cares... so you can find a modded Si for around $10,000 vs. $15,000 for a fresh one.
U dont need to put a coffee can exhaust, DOnt put the dual , it would prob dirty ur rear tire and stain your sideskirts from the smoke. Get a rs-r exhaust. Sounds good and isnt a coffee can. ALso looks Oem Like.
www.rs-r.com It says for civics 96-00 not sure if it will fit 2000 SI email them and ask. This baby costs alot though.
