2005 Honda Civic SiG
Yep I am going to be getting the 2005 Honda Civic Coupe SiG..Pharoh and I looked at it today, I got to test drive that as well as the Acura EL and I am going to be getting that in October sometime..Woot! Just thought I'd share and get some feedback..It will be a 5 speed of course! And I think I'm getting the Magnesium Metallic color..I'm selling back my car to the original dealership since I'll be moving out here to Ottawa in a few weeks as well!! Lemme know what y'all think

Well the SiG equals the EX except it has ABS and daytime running lamps..Since we don't have that in the US..Not the hatchie I wish I could afford the hatch but can't yet..Maybe someday. I'll still have a/c and spoiler, and the moonroof/sunroof whatever it's called lol..And yeah I definitely will take pics..I wish it came in White!! But I had to go with Magnesium Metallic it was the next best color besides blue..

The "G" in Si-G actually stands for group option package that adds the following to the Si model.
- Leather wrapped steering wheel and shift **** (m/t)
- Carbon fibre look instrument panel
- Spoiler
- ABS
There's no equivalent model in the US for the Si-G as the USDM EX is essentially a Canadian Si with ABS. However, this only applies for the 2004 models as I believe Honda Canada standardized the trim levels and got rid of the Si for 2005. There's a new "Reverb" edition coupe which is placed below the Si-G, similar (although not quite) to the new USDM Civic Special Edition coupe without the VTEC engine. It'll have the following as standard..
- Skirt kit (front, side and rear)
- 15" 5 split spoke alloys (standard on the 2001-2003 Canadian Si models)
- 6 disc in dash CD changer with mp3 capabilities
- Chrome exhaust tip
- Spoiler
I still don't understand why Honda Canada wouldn't just enhance the Si-G as they are marketing the model for enthusiasts yet no VTEC?

You mean the Reverb has no Vtec? Yeah it doesn't..and yeah the Si-G and the EX have the same engine..It's a nice car definitely..I wish I could afford the SiR or RSX Type-S..Damn..it'd be sweet! But oh well..Better than my silly LX Sedan anyways..
And the price on the 05 Coupe I think the guy said $21000 Canadian.
And the price on the 05 Coupe I think the guy said $21000 Canadian. Not quite true because the Reverb will have the USDM EX special edition head unit as well as (personal opinion) nicer alloys than the Si-G. Add to that the standard skirt kit which is optional I think on the US SE. Unfortunately, the "Reverb" doesn't have the VTEC engine and power windows otherwise it does look really nice exterior wise. On the other hand, the new for 2005 LX-G Sedan now has standard alloys (same style as the reverb) and power moonroof? There isn't that much difference anymore between that and the Si Sedan. Is it really worth the CAD$1,610.00 difference just to get the VTEC engine, leather steering wheel and carbon fibre look? (LX-G is priced at 19,990 while the Si is 21,600) Sure it's nice to have all these options but c'mon. I have a 2004 Si Sedan but if I was to buy a car right now with all these 2005 model options, I would've saved my money and bought the LX-G instead. Afterall the moonroof and alloys are the only features I care much about on the Si.

Thanks Fuzz I think I will..Now I have a sedan now but I think I want to switch it up for a bit and get a 2 door that's one of the reasons why I wanted to get this..I don't care about the CF look inside I will take that out once I get the chance I think.
