Actually I think you are better off with an automatic, especially since you live in Los Angeles. Just think about the morning commute and all the traffic on the freeways.
5 Speed Manual + Traffic = Road Rage
5 Speed Manual + Traffic = Road Rage
yea i was thinking of doing that on my 03 auto lx bc my mom made me get auto but hey it was a new car so i wasnt complaining (oo wait yes i was) bc it was slow as **** but instead of doing all that **** i was like **** it and traded it in on my Spec V (spec vizzle for all the gangsta's haha JP)

Yea, you need to goto the dealers and ask for the manual shift boot which is like $30 and the Razo **** for an auto which is like another $50.

diy, for what? you just unscrew the 2 screws infront of the stock shifter, take it off and put on the new one.
yours looks clean, makes me wish i got that manual trim piece when i did mine but i was cheap, just slipped the boot over the shifter box, lol.

what happens to the trigger/locking function on the oem shifter?
The boot looks waaay better than the automatic shift plate
