If you waited for the 8th gen, you'd probably be waiting for a bit of a while, because getting a new gen of car in it's first year of production is generally a bad idea, too many annoying little kinks to work out. Why not trade for an Si or something, that is of course if you want to stick w. Honda and still have a Civic.

well also the new generation grows on you. I remember that people kept telling me to get the last of the 6th gens or a used 6th gen cuz the 7th gens were suppose to be fugly. It eventually grew on me though, and you're right you wouldn't want the old generation anyways.
