I've done suspension mods, and of course audio. Tint, clear bra, etc. Nothing major.

Perhaps you've never ridden in one at full-throttle mashing through the gears? Seriously. . .. it's pure music to the ears.

Yukon -- Just out of curiosity, have you had her on the ¼ mile yet? What's your best time? The best I've seen an STi run (I'm assuming it had to be completely stock with the times this guy was running) are low to mid 14's. Maybe it was the driver, but I thought they could pull harder than that.

Indeed. . . the stock STi exhaust (header, mids, rears, EVERYTHING) actually sounds VERY nice. It's helped me resist going to an aftermarket exhaust simply for the sound. Performance-wise, I'm going to wait until I start full-on engine mods. . . . will save about $5,000 and do them all at once. At least on the STi you NEED. . . NEED engine management before doing any tuning, and that's a $900 minimum investment just for a little black box. So waiting is just fine for me.
I haven't personally seen any STis running the quarter, but the locals have been laying down low. . . VERY low 13s, bone stock. The person you witnessed probably just can't launch the car to save their life. With the proper technique, the car can be made to leap off the line so agressively, you're redlining 1st gear before the suspension even finishes soaking-up the launch. Fortunately, in this car you WANT to redline 1st, then shift around 6k in every other gear. I forget, off-hand, what the trap speeds are on the low 13 quarters, but they're easily over 100mph.
I haven't been to the strip, yet. I need to go once, though. Been busy with autocross every other week, and I'm planning on getting my track cert at Pacific Raceway to start participating in lapping days. I'm building the beast up as a GT car, and I need to start hitting the real track so I can start finding weak spots in the car. . . AND MYSELF.
If you want sweet sound in an exhaust, BTW . . . . go either TXS (without the RFL-Ti if you don't like it too loud) or go with the B&B or Perrin setup. I hear they're all nice and throaty, but not overly loud.

I just went and test drove the STi last week. I want that car so bad, but am having a hard time making the final decision. Every single time I see pictures of your car, it makes it that much easier for me to just go for it.
Nice pictures!
