Interior Painting HELP!
My 2001 is CLOVER GREEN PEARL and my interior color is TAN/BEIGE, I want to paint the interior trim pieces but I dont know what color to paint them. I tried looking for the CLOVER GREEN PEARL paint, but no one seems to have it anywhere. I guess I would have to go to an auto body shop to have it mixed for me, but they want too much. If I were to bring the pieces to an auto body shop to have them paint the pieces for me, they want $250. I already had the interior red, but it started fading, so I took the paint off, and I would like to do the same color as my car, but everyone wants so much money. Which other colors would you suggest that is easy to find that will look nice? Thanks.

White would look good, but to complete the look you'd have to reupholster in white as well, IMO. I say save the loot and take it to a shop to get it painted green. It'd look real pimp. Red would contrast too much.
I do not suggest painting your interior yourself unless your really good at it. White will always have to be touched up. My friend did his entire intrerior of his prelude white with baby blue trim and the white started to turn darker like yellow lookin. But if you are really good go for it. I would pay to get it vinyled...but the white would look really good though.

You can get the paint mixed for about $25 a quart at a paint mixing place. Then you can spray it yourself. Requires a compressor, spray gun, paint, sand paper, primer, etc. Make sure you get the primer that is made to be sprayed onto plastic, making the plastic paintable, otherwise, you'll have to keep repainting. I suppose if you wanted it smooth, you could always brush on some f.glass resin to smooth it out. Then you wouldn't have to use plastic primer to paint it.
