awhile back i posted about my moms car gettin totaled (01 civic ex) and now she started to drive her z3 and yesterday i was with her and we were stopped and guess what happened. Some girl in a purple ford taurus hit us from the back i got out of the car in traffic and started yellin and gettin crazy then i calmed down and lucky there was no damage lol the only thing that had happened was the rear bumper moved a little to the right popped out a bit but nothing extreme no scracthes or bumps everything was cool after that and i got to miss school for no reason

I dont think you yellin at her was a mistake. You accomplished something. Girl hits car, person in car gets mad because girl cant drive. Person Yells and then cools off. Human nature. Dont sweat it.

Its actually not called an accident for a reason. All DMV books and everything now call them collisions and you won't see them reffered to as an accident anymore. When somebody hit my mom i flipped out the same way cause they're idiots.

Never get out and yell. Calmly get out, get their DL and insurance info. You can hurt yourself that way as far as the case goes, and possibly get shot/beatup by the driver.

As far as "accidents" go, we were told same at def driving school. no such thing as accidents, because no car collision is ever accidental. Always, someone is at fault because they did something wrong or were not paying attention or in control of their vehicle.

They also stopped teaching the 10 and 2 hand position rules. Which is strange to me, I think now they do 9 and 3 or thereabouts. Which totally flies in the face of what I was taught in driver's ed, what I have done for um... over 20 years of driving, and what i was taught at my classes for open tracking.

Supposedly the lower hand position, when the airbags deploy, causes your arms to be pushed to the sides or downwards instead of into your face.

For me its uncomfortable to drive that way. Im old.

back when I drove my wagoneer, someone in a 2000 Mustang GT rear ended me. I thought it was funny because I had full metal bumpers and a tow hitch with ball. Needless to say I won, and a Mustang got its radiator exploded!

its seems that the rear is somehow more enforce than the front, I was in a Collision (rear ended) by a red toyota corolla, my bumper is a little dented, but the corolla front to totally f@uk up.

Some lady switched lanes into me, and my front end was gone, and her CRV didn't have a spot on it. She got to drive home.. I was out of a car for 5 weeks

But then I got it back the way it is now.. I <3 Insuarnce Money
