thanks for the advice! i am not doing it myself, i find it would be to much work, so i may get someone else that has already done it to his own car, but he told me that one of the lights fogged up pretty bad and had to redo it, and i don't feel like spending all summer just getting it right. I DON"T KNOW WHAT TO DO.

I cleared mine and have had no problems. You just have to make sure you put the silicone all the way around and let it dry and it won't fog up. It'll be worth it but, it just depends on what you like. The DIY here on the site is pretty straightforward on how to do it

I have had no problems with mine. he musta done it wrong. just do it yourself, not much work and doesnt take that long even. just when resealing make sure you use a lot of silicone....then they shouldnt fog.

I dunno bout anyone else but once I put the silicone on I didn't like bake them...I kinda just left them in the sun for 20 minutes then put them back on.

i just don't trust myself to do them, i scared to mess up and then it will cost me over 500$ to replace the headlights. how did you take the headlight apart without breaking anything. and what kind of silicone do you use?

i used a flat head screw driver to go all the way around and basically pry them open. Once you get the black stuff out you can kinda open it with yourself but takes a little muscle. Silicone like the ones you use for bathroom tiles and such. It's easy, just read the DIY I was scared I would mess up something as well but nope

believe me man, its really easy once you get going. its a fun DIY too. there is nothing you can break if you're careful..... once you take out the bulbs all you're left with is the housing which is a piece of plastic. just take your time and you can do it.

yeah just clear them...saves you a lot of money, just make sure you seal them up REAL good.

Our stock headlights look SO good, and SO clean when they're cleared...much better then anything else IMO

I agree, except that everyone is clearing their stock headlights now so its not that original anymore.

But at least I'm the only 7th gen that I know of in my area with cleared head lights.
