you obviously know nothing about cars. the miata is the best selling sports car of all time. and it has one of the better reliability ratings according to consumer reports for all the years theyve been made.

however, if the kid thinks an EX civic is too expencive, a used miata is out of his price range also. unless he wants to go for a really used one from waaaaay back, like the m1. chances are he doesnt since he bought a brand new 2004 civic.

my suggestion is to look at the hyundai or a used civic, used protege, or any other used car in that class.
